There is a selection of leaflets on the stand in the ground floor corridor and various books and magazines in the sitting room, with information on the history of the area and of the house, on animals, birds and plants to be found on Kintyre and on that perennially fascinating topic – whisky.

Heritage Centre, Campbeltown - A treasure-trove of information and exhibits covering many aspects of the history and development of South Kintyre.

Scottish Owl Centre, Campbeltown - discover the largest collection of owls open to the public in Scotland.

Gold Foundry, Carradale - A large selection of gold and silver jewellery all made on the premises. Celtic rings a speciality.

Torrisdale Castle Tannery, Torrisdale - Torrisdale Castle tannery is unique in its use of traditional tanning techniques, abandoned elsewhere in favour of modern chemical and machine methods in a desire for speed and qauntity.

Glen Barr Abbey, nr Tarbert - Visitors Centre is situated on the Kintyre peninsula, in the West of Scotland.

Kilmartin House Museum, Kilmartin - a world-class centre for archaeology and landscape interpretation which combines a Museum of Ancient Culture and a unique and vibrant visitor centre including intense audio-visual experience
